New elements are brought into the IASJ Jazz Meeting. More details and names in the next IASJ upate of 15 March 2022.
On the website of the meeting you can now propose your students and teachers. Do not buy flight tickets or make hotel bookings for students till you have received a confirmation from the IASJ.
The deadline for sending in proposals is now 15 April 2022. Before 1 May you will hear who of the proposed students is selected. Again, do not book flights for your students until you have received a confirmation.

Call for papers! The IASJ Research Journal is in the make and there is room for contributions. Research with direct links to jazz performance and jazz education is the preferred type of contribution. The 2023 IASJ Jazz Meeting, Helsinki, Finland, 26 June - 1 August
Jussi Kanaste, head of the jazz department at the Sibelius Academy, is the Host School Coordinator for the IASJ Jazz Meeting in 2023. He will be assisted by his colleagues. In 2023 the jazz department celebrates its 40th year of existence. Yes, we will look back at all the great things the Sibelius Academy has achieved but also look at the current state of jazz education in Helsinki, in Finland, and in the world.
