Students who enter the Jazz/Popular Music program at the Royal Conservatoire, Antwerp can expect to graduate as excellent musicians who are ready to take their place in the international profession. The training and coaching you will receive is highly practical and customized to your individual needs and interests. From day one, the study program will immerse you in international professional practice, with an emphasis on the development of your own artistic personality, the acquisition of expertise, and the engagement of your sense of entrepreneurship.

Our jazz course boasts many features which set it apart; its broad offering of projects, the performance opportunities which it presents on both a national and international level, the possibility to undertake a placement within a professional ensemble, individual coaching from leading artistic figures, and the connections which the study program has with internationally-renowned jazz artists and festivals. We strive to provide the perfect fit for each and every student by individualizing your study program and by giving flexibility in terms of choice of teachers.

 

The IASJ is a long standing member of the IMC, the International Music Coucil, affiliated with UNESCO.

The IASJ, founded in 1989, brought together over 3000 jazz students, teachers and directors from all over the world.
